Enjoy early harvested, young organic baby carrots raw in salads, or lightly steam or sauté in butter. Roughly a thumb width and finger length in size, rich in beta carotene and a sweeter taste. The size of individual carrots may vary, according to season. Grown in west Shanghai’s Qingpu district, on a farm certified by IFOAM (International Foundation of Organic Agriculture Movements). High quality organic soil, a clean water supply and a flock of geese and chickens to take care of insects and pests all help to ensure the quality of the farm’s produce.

Sweeter and milder in flavor than yellow or white onions, red onions are commonly used raw in salads, slaws and sandwiches. Sourced from an organic farm located in north Shanghai’s Jiading district, which is notable for its lack of industry. The farm uses traditional natural farming techniques and has received European Organic Certification.

White Onions have a sweet, mild, white flesh and tend to have a sharper and more pungent flavor than yellow onions. Cook just as you would any other onion or mince and add to raw salsas and chutneys. Locally grown for a lower carbon footprint.
