A hybrid of Sachinoka and Akihime Japanese strawberry varieties, Benihoppe – ‘red cheek’ – are vibrantly red throughout, with elongated, sweeter tips: eat from the base to the tip to accentuate the sweetness. Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C and also rich in B complex vitamins, which help the body metabolize proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Locally grown for a lower carbon footprint.
