In March 2009, four expatriates who had made Shanghai their long-term home started FIELDS:

After moving to China, we realized that finding fresh, healthy and safe food was a challenge and that we needed to take things into our own hands. As a result, we launched FIELDS in order to provide healthy options for our family, our community, and ourselves.

At FIELDS we strive to provide you and your family with the finest quality natural products, organic whenever possible, for online purchase. We are passionate about food and our offerings include fruit and vegetables, dairy, meat and fish products, organic eggs, fresh breads, and a wide range of essential gourmet and pantry items. We also carry natural personal care products for adults and children.

In order to guarantee the quality and source of our products, we develop strong relations with our suppliers and taste-test all of our products. FIELDS also supports local farms and when possible, collaborates in terms of product development, socially responsible practices and quality control. Conscious of the negative impact that both individuals and companies have on the environment, we use bio-degradable packaging, encourage our customers to return any packaging that can be reused or recycled, and are moving towards a business model in which all unnecessary packing is eliminated.
